Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Opren Inc. (“Opren,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing the service, uploading information, or purchasing a report, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Opren provides software-generated screening, comparison, and decision-support tools for solar, storage, energy, and related projects. Outputs depend on the documents, data, assumptions, third-party sources, and models available at the time. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we do not promise that every quote, utility, location, financing structure, or project is supported.

Important limitations

Opren is an independent analysis service. We are not your installer, engineer, contractor, utility, lender, insurance provider, attorney, tax adviser, or financial adviser. Reports are informational and screening-grade; they are not a guarantee of savings, system performance, incentives, tax treatment, financing results, equipment quality, permitting, interconnection, resilience, or vendor performance.

You are responsible for checking source documents and assumptions and obtaining qualified professional advice before signing a contract, making a purchase, claiming an incentive, or relying on engineering, legal, tax, credit, or financial conclusions. Third-party proposals and claims may be incomplete or inaccurate, and Opren does not endorse or control installers or other vendors.

Your information and responsibilities

You agree that you will:

• provide information you are authorized to use and that is reasonably accurate and complete;
• review extracted fields and report assumptions against the original documents;
• use the service lawfully and avoid uploading malicious code or unlawfully sensitive material;
• not interfere with security, probe for vulnerabilities, overload the service, or bypass access or payment controls; and
• protect secure sign-in links, report links, and other access credentials issued to you.

You retain ownership of your documents and data. You grant Opren a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and analyze them as needed to provide, secure, and support the service and as otherwise permitted by your privacy and retention choices.

Purchases, report access, and refunds

Prices and included features are shown before checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorize the displayed one-time charge and are responsible for applicable taxes. Access to a purchased report is personal to the purchaser, although you may share the report with household members or professional advisers involved in the project.

Eligible paid Quote Check reports include the 14-day money-back guarantee shown at purchase. Submit a request from the report or your dashboard within 14 days after purchase. We review requests to confirm eligibility and prevent duplicate or abusive claims. When a refund is approved, it is returned to the original payment method and access to the refunded report may be removed. Bank processing times vary. Opren content and acceptable use

The service, software, visual design, analysis methods, report templates, and other Opren materials are owned by Opren or its licensors and are protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service and purchased outputs for your personal or internal project evaluation. You may not resell the service or reports, copy substantial parts of the product to build a competing service, or remove proprietary notices.

If you send feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, provided we handle associated personal information under the Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

The service may use or link to third-party services, data, software, and websites, including payment, mapping, utility, solar-resource, document-analysis, and communications providers. Their services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. Opren is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service and all outputs are provided “as is” and “as available.” Opren disclaims all express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Opren and its officers, employees, contractors, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, savings, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from the service. Opren’s total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Opren for the service giving rise to the claim during the 12 months before the event. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may limit or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, misuse the service, or if continued operation is no longer commercially practical. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where your local consumer law requires otherwise. Before filing a claim, please contact [email protected] so we can try to resolve it. Any court proceeding must be brought in a court with jurisdiction in California, unless applicable law gives you the right to proceed elsewhere.

Changes and contact
