Overview

Opren Inc. (“Opren,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides tools that analyze solar quotes, energy usage, and related project information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, when we disclose it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:

• Information you provide, including your email address, property address or ZIP code, utility, energy usage, project goals, and messages to support.
• Quote and project data, including uploaded documents and information extracted from them, such as customer and property details, equipment, prices, production estimates, warranties, and financing terms.
• Purchase information. Stripe processes payment-card details. We receive transaction status, customer contact details, and identifiers needed to deliver reports, prevent duplicate charges, and handle refunds. We do not receive your full card number.
• Account and service data, including saved reports, secure sign-in and share-link records, consent choices, refund requests, IP address, device and browser information, logs, and interactions with the service.

How we use information

We use information to:

• extract quote details and generate the analysis, reports, and comparisons you request;
• estimate project fit using address, utility, usage, tariff, and solar-resource information;
• process payments, associate purchases with reports, provide secure access, and administer refunds;
• operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service; prevent fraud and abuse; and comply with law;
• respond to support, privacy, and other requests; and
• retain extracted quote data for product improvement only when you make the optional retention choice presented in the product.

Optional product-improvement consent is not required to receive a report. The current optional program covers extracted quote data, not retention of the raw uploaded PDF, and does not authorize third-party model training unless that is separately disclosed and permitted.

How we disclose information

We may disclose information to service providers that help us provide hosting, databases, document extraction and OCR, data analysis, address and solar-data services, payment processing, email delivery, security, and customer support. They may process information only for the services they provide to us, subject to their agreements and applicable law.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information for money or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention and security

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain purchased-report access, comply with legal and accounting duties, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the service. Retention periods vary by record type and consent choice. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

Your choices and privacy rights

You may decline optional product-improvement retention and still use the report. You may also request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or withdraw a consent where applicable. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required by law.

Residents of California and certain other jurisdictions may have additional rights, including the right to know categories and specific pieces of personal information, request correction or deletion, obtain portability, and receive equal service when exercising privacy rights. Because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not offer a sale or sharing opt-out.

Cookies and similar technology

We use cookies and similar storage needed for secure sessions, ownership of reports, sign-in, preferences, and core service operation. Your browser may let you block cookies, but doing so can prevent sign-in, report recovery, or other features from working.

Children, transfers, and changes

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. We may update this policy as the service or law changes; the date at the top identifies the current version.
